What we do
Veneers & Hollywood Smile
Veneers are thin ceramic shells bonded to the front of the teeth to change shape, shade and alignment. A "Hollywood Smile" is the same work applied across the whole visible smile rather than one or two teeth.
Ask Dr. Hatice about this
Illustrations of the technique, not patient results. Your own plan follows Dr. Hatice's review of your X-ray.
Who it suits
- Discolouration that whitening will not shift
- Chipped or worn edges
- Small gaps between front teeth
- Mild crowding, where you do not want orthodontic treatment
What you should know first
- Preparing a tooth for a veneer removes some enamel, and enamel does not grow back. This is not a reversible treatment, and we will say that clearly before you decide.
- Veneers change how teeth look, not how healthy they are. Gum disease, decay or an unstable bite is treated first.
- Straightening severe crowding with veneers alone means cutting into healthy teeth. If aligners or braces are the better answer for your case, that is what Dr. Hatice will tell you — even though it is not the treatment you came asking about.
How the treatment runs
- 01
Smile assessment
Dr. Hatice checks gum health, bite and enamel before any design work starts.
- 02
Design
Shape, shade and proportion are planned against your own face, not a template.
- 03
Preparation
A thin layer is removed from the front of each tooth being treated.
- 04
Lab stage
The veneers are made to the agreed design.
- 05
Bonding
They are tried in, checked against your bite and your face, then bonded.
Time in Istanbul
Veneer cases are usually one visit with a lab stage in the middle. How many days depends on how many units you are having, and it is written into your plan before you travel.
Veneers or crowns — which do I need?
A veneer covers the front surface of a tooth and removes far less of it. A crown covers the whole tooth and is for teeth that are structurally compromised — heavily filled, root treated or broken. Which applies is a diagnosis, not a preference.
How much of my tooth is removed?
A thin layer from the front surface, so the veneer sits flush rather than proud. It is a small amount, but it is permanent: once a tooth is prepared for a veneer it will always need one. Say no to anyone who tells you it is reversible.
How many veneers will I need?
It is set by how much of your smile shows when you talk and smile, not by a fixed package number. Treating fewer teeth well is a better result than treating more teeth because it was sold as a set.
Will they stain from coffee or smoking?
Porcelain does not stain the way natural enamel does. The margin at the gum and the natural teeth around them still can, which is why hygiene visits matter after the work is finished.
How long do they last?
They are a wearing part and can chip, particularly if you grind. Longevity depends on your bite and your habits far more than on the brochure. Nobody can honestly promise a number of years.
How is the price decided?
Per veneer, and by how many teeth your smile line actually requires. You get the count and the figure in writing before you book travel, after Dr. Hatice has seen your photographs and X-ray.
